The most important meal of the day.
There’s not many things in this world that can compete with having a really, really great brunch. Luckily (and unluckily) for me, Dallas is a hotspot for endless amounts of yummy food and breakfast in no exception.
My list of 'favorite restaurants' and 'restaurants to go-to' has grown at an alarming rate. There’s so much out there and I wish I could try them all! When it comes to picking a brunch spot in Dallas, you really can’t go wrong.
Here are a few of my most-loved brunches in Dallas.
When the sun is shining on a weekend in Dallas, there’s no better place to be than The Rustic. This indoor/outdoor restaurant has live music and good vibes all day long. There’s no need to decide what you want for brunch either… you get it all! The fixed menu features a ton of delicious courses for everyone to share. Just keep the mimosas coming!
This hidden French gem is nestled within the heart of Uptown (while away from the hustle and bustle of it all). The pretty gazebo and quaint patio truly transform you to a day in Paris. The brunch menu consists of signature French delicacies (can you say butter + cheese galore) that will keep you full all day long. It's a oui from me!
San Martin Bakery is DFW magic. This Guatemalan restaurant & bakery is everything you want and more in a weekend brunch. Indulge in horchata, sweet bread and traditional dishes (prepare yourself for an overwhelming menu of options) while enjoying the unique ambiance. You’re guaranteed to come back for more!
East Coast meets West Coast at Hudson House. Although seafood admittedly is not my thing, I still love this place because it has something for everyone. Pancakes, burgers and crispy potatoes (oh my!) Pro tip: get the popcorn chicken. Always.
Cupcakes for breakfast? I'll never say no. This Highland Park treat is a great spot to grab a pastry or quiche when you're on-the-go on a busy Saturday morning. Be sure to pick up something for dessert later too (our wedding cake/cupcakes were from here and did not disappoint).
Don’t feel like you HAVE to put on a cute outfit to go out to brunch. If you’re wanting a casual spot, the Biscuit Bar is for you. Pick the savory or sweet biscuit sandwich of your choice and don’t forget the loaded tots! There are multiple locations in Dallas, so when your biscuit craving hits, you are set.
This place is Southern dining at its finest. It’s the over-the-top brunch experience that you didn’t know you needed (but totally do). If you want a stack of gourmet pancakes that tower the table, this is your place. Because you really do deserve a fancy brunch every now and then!
These brunch spots are just the tip of the iceberg within the Dallas brunch scene. Sean and I are excited to keep exploring and try new spots (once we finally leave the house)...
After all, brunch is the most important meal of the day.
Always,
Alina Ann
