10 Travel Essentials

It's time to start exploring again!

After being cooped up for over a year, I’m ready to get back to traveling! For the Memorial Day holiday, I packed my bags and headed to Rosemary Beach for some much-needed family time.

Here are a few of the things I brought with me this time (and every other trip too)!

TUMI Carry On

If I can avoid checking a bag, I will. Not having to wait at baggage claim or worrying about lost luggage makes things quicker and easier! My TUMI carry on has been a travel staple of mine all throughout college and into my mid-20s. I’m not a light packer by any means, but somehow this bag is the perfect size. It’ll fit everything you need (and more) for a weekend getaway!

A Large Tote

Everything I can’t fit into my suitcase gets thrown into my big Kate Spade tote! It’s easy to travel with, as you can put it directly on top of the rolling suitcase, and can be stuffed with all the important things you need to access to while you’re on-the-go.

Reusable Water Bottle

Airport food prices make me sad. So I always bring my Hydroflask through security and fill it up at one of the water stations as soon as I get through! Let’s be honest, you don’t need that $8 Smartwater. Don’t forget the snacks either!

Maybe it’s just me, but my phone dies way too fast (and right when I need it the most). Because of this, I always bring a fully charged portable charger that allows me to plug in my phone and iPad cords!

Melatonin

The downside to travel is sleeping in a bed that isn’t yours. I like to bring melatonin gummies so I don’t stress out about not being able to fall asleep when I have a fun vacation day ahead of me! Advil and Tums are always packed in my bag too, just in case.

Hand Sanitizer

Even in the pre-COVID era, I was always known as the girl with the hand sanitizer. When I’m traveling, I always bring mini sanitizer to throw in my purse as I go from place to place (see ya later, germs)!

Face Masks

Traveling makes your skin dry, which is never fun. I like to bring my favorite face masks and pop one on before bed after a travel day to bring my skin back to life! My personal favorite is the LAPCOS Pearl Brightening Mask.

Extra Clothes & Layers

Planes are cold. Bring the jacket (and all of the layers). You can never be too prepared when it comes to the clothes you bring on a trip, so in this case more is more! Bring things that you can wear multiple times too so you're not overpacking.

I never leave the house without my sunglasses! When I’m traveling, I like to bring a pair that I won’t be too upset over if I end up losing it along the way. Let’s be honest, we’ve all lost things on a vacation that we’re still not over! Don’t let your favorite pair of sunglasses be one of those things.

This is an every day essential! I only like to wash my hair 1-2 times a week so dry shampoo is a must. When I’m on a trip and want to quickly get ready after a day at the beach or an early morning, dry shampoo also helps revive my hair quickly and effortlessly!

Is your next trip coming up? Don't forget to pack these essentials!

Always,

Alina Ann
